Since it is summer, I am trying to knock out as many of my home projects as possible. Right now, I have a teeny tiny office space that is mostly just used for storage. Mr. B uses our second bedroom as his man cave/office/music room. Eventually that second bedroom will (hopefully) be a nursery, and we are going to have to cram his office stuff into my already crowded office space. Even though we don't have to combine forces anytime soon, my goal is to try to start some organization projects in there that will make the transition easier. I've been scouting out some small and pretty offices, courtesy of Pinterest. This is what has been catching my eye. (Click pic for original source, all pics via Pinterest.)
Fitting all the junk of a crafter and a musician into one tiny room is going to be tricky. Wish me luck!

East Coast Highlights: Philly
Along with a new obsession for brick buildings (click here to read all about that), we also took away some history from our trip back east. Given that the majority of our trip was spent drinking beer and eating yummy terrible food, we didn't spend to much time doing the touristy stuff, but we did manage to squeeze in some of the must sees in Philly.
We actually got some history and culture! Starting with Independence Hall...
Saw the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier from the Revolutionary War...
Visited one of Edgar Allan Poe's houses, in need of some serious renovation...
Ate a Philly cheesesteak at one of the originals, Geno's...
And no road trip would be complete without a flat tire! Luckily, we had plenty of time to get a new tire and still make it to our game that night. Also, luckily we had two boys with us who actually knew how to change a tire, and a nice Philadelphian who stopped by with a jack to help us out!
Tours of Citizens Bank Park in Philly and Yankee Stadium are posted on my sports blog, here. Make sure you check it out! Stay tuned for more of our trip highlights, there's plenty more to see!

My New Obsession: Brick!
Hello lovelies! And we're back from our whirlwind adventure all over the East Coast! In a week, we visited eight states and four different baseball stadiums! Needless to say, I'm still recovering! This week, I'm going to be sharing some of our trip highlights with you (minus the baseball, check out my sports blog, LA Sports Doll, for those pics!). I'm going to start with my new architecture obsession: brick! There is brick all over the East Coast and really very little here in LA (apparently bricks and earthquakes don't mix) and I am so jealous that we don't have any! These were a few of my fave brick buildings...
In Philly...
In New York...
In Boston...
So what do you think? To brick or not to brick? Obviously in Cali, I'm not going to be moving into a brick brownstone anytime soon, but a girl can dream, right?

Wedding Wednesday: Take Me Out to the Ball Game!
In honor of our upcoming baseball stadium tour, today's wedding theme is America's pastime! Baseball has played an important role in my relationship with the hubs. Our first date was at a Dodger game and since that day we have spent lots of time attending baseball games. One of our goals is to visit all of the baseball stadiums in the country, so for his wedding present, I had a custom painting done of a map of the US with all the stadiums on it. Each time we visit one, we fill in the date on the painting. On our first date, my now husband kept one big secret from me--despite being raised in Los Angeles, he is actually a Giants fan. That means something to those of you who like baseball, and for those of you who don't, well let's just say the Dodgers and the Giants don't really get along. Luckily, we found a way to overcome this flaw of his. Let's play ball! (Click pic for original source!)
It doesn't get much more all-American than that! Make sure you are following me on Instagram (click the pink camera on the right sidebar) to see pics from our trip, and make sure you are checking out my sports blog, LA Sports Doll, for all the details!

Jessica N Designs!
Through the power of social media (in this case Instagram), I discovered this super cute and talented jewelry designer, Jessica N. I'm not even sure how I came to follow Jessica on Instagram, I think she was one of the people recommended to me when I first signed up. She shares a lot of pics of her awesome jewelry, and when I saw these bracelets, I knew I needed one (in pink, of course)! I emailed Jessica asking about a personalized design (a bee, get it? :o)) and she was super friendly and accommodating. A couple of weeks later, a darling box arrived on my doorstep. And then I opened the box and fell in love with this adorable, hand-crafted bracelet. It's pink leather with a hand-stamped bee. How cute is this?
Jessica's website features tons of adorable products, including jewelry, weddings designs, and home decor. You know I love me a small business, so head on over to her site and check our her awesome designs!

Fourth of July Inspiration
I don't know about you, but the Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays. I don't know if it's the season, or because I am a July baby, or just because I love America, but it has always been a day I look forward to! Here are some images that are inspiring my Fourth for this year. (Click pic for original source, all pics via Pinterest.)
One of the best parts of the Fourth is the food, and these desserts are looking pretty tasty!
And I'm loving these Fourth of July home decorations...
And of course, you gotta have something cute to wear for any holiday.
What are your plans for the Fourth? How do you like to celebrate?
